Stellungnahme der AMK

Der emeritierte Professor Dr. Jürgen C. Frölich hatte Ende April in mehreren Fernsehbeiträgen des ZDF behauptet, es gebe eine gefährliche Wechselwirkung zwischen Ranitidin und Metoprolol. Die vermeintliche Interaktion diente als Basis für Testkäufe in 30 Apotheken. Frölich hatte trotz zahlreicher Proteste und Hinweise aus der Fachwelt weiter an seiner Behauptung festgehalten. Der Beitrag und die Einschätzung Frölichs hatte für Verwirrung in Apotheken gesorgt und tausende Patientinnen und Patienten verunsichert.

Inzwischen hat der Sender eine Unterlassungserklärung unterzeichnet und den Beitrag von seiner homepage genommen. Dies erwirkte die ehemalige Präsidentin der Bundesapothekerkammer Magdalene Linz. In dem Beitrag wurde suggeriert, dass angeblich einer der Testkäufe in ihrer Hannoveraner Apotheke stattgefunden hat. Dieser hatte jedoch nachweislich so dort nie stattgefunden.
